How to install IPTV on Samsung Smart TV
Samsung Smart TVs run the Tizen system, which has IPTV apps in the Samsung App Store. Nothing to plug in and nothing to sideload: install the app, enter your login, and the guide appears on the TV you already own.

- The TV connected to the internet
Your login email contains a server URL, a username and a password (Xtream Codes format) and an M3U link. Keep it handy. Do not have one yet? Request a free trial login.
Step-by-step: Samsung Smart TV
Open the Samsung App Store
Press the Home button on the remote, go to Apps, and use the search icon at the top right.
Install an IPTV app
Search for "IPTV Smarters" (IPTV Smarters Pro or Smarters Player Lite) or "IBO Player" and press Install. Smart IPTV (SIPTV) is another option with a one-time activation fee.
Sign in
Open the app and choose Xtream Codes login. Enter the server URL, username and password from your email. For SIPTV and IBO Player, note the MAC address shown on screen and add your M3U link on the app website.
Load the guide
The app downloads the channel list and TV guide. Choose the categories you want and press Done.
Watch
Select a channel and press Enter. Add favourites with the long-press menu so your most-watched Canadian channels appear first.
Tips and quick fixes
- If an app is missing from the store in Canada, change the TV region to United States temporarily under Settings, General, System Manager, then reinstall.
- Samsung TVs older than 2017 (Orsay system) cannot install new apps; use a Fire TV Stick instead.
- Turn off Auto Motion Plus for sports if the picture looks too smooth.

Which Samsung TVs support IPTV apps?
Any Samsung Smart TV from 2017 onward running Tizen supports IPTV Smarters Pro, IBO Player and Smart IPTV. Older models should use a Fire TV Stick or Android box.
Do I need a separate box for my Samsung TV?
No. The IPTV app runs on the TV itself. Many customers still add a Fire TV Stick for the better remote experience, but it is optional.
Why does the app say activation required?
Smart IPTV and IBO Player charge a small one-time activation fee to their developers. IPTV Smarters Pro is free, so choose it if you want no extra cost.
