How to install IPTV on Android TV and Google TV

Before you start
- An Android TV or Google TV device or Smart TV (Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Mi Box)
- Your Best IPTV Canadian login
- A Google account signed in on the device
Your login email contains a server URL, a username and a password (Xtream Codes format) and an M3U link. Keep it handy. Do not have one yet? Request a free trial login.
Step-by-step: Android TV and Google TV
Open the Google Play Store
From the Home screen, open Apps, then Google Play Store. Search for "TiviMate" or "IPTV Smarters Pro" and press Install.
Open the app and add a playlist
Open the app. In TiviMate choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes login. In IPTV Smarters Pro choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
Enter your login
Type the server URL, username and password from your email. Give the playlist any name and press Next.
Wait for the guide to load
The channel list and the TV guide download in about a minute. Choose the categories you want to see (Canada, Sports, French, Kids) and press Done.
Start watching
Press the centre button on a channel to play it. In TiviMate, Settings lets you set a favourite group as the default and turn on catch-up.
Tips and quick fixes
- TiviMate Premium (about $15 CAD a year) unlocks multiple playlists, recording and a better guide. The free version works for one playlist.
- On Chromecast with Google TV, add a USB-C hub with Ethernet for the most stable 4K streams.
- If a Sony or TCL TV runs out of storage, uninstall unused apps; IPTV apps need about 60 MB.
