How to install IPTV on Amazon Fire TV Stick

The Fire TV Stick is the most popular IPTV device in Canada because it costs under $60, plugs into any HDMI port and runs the best IPTV apps. Setup takes about 10 minutes with the free Downloader app.

Before you start

  • A Fire TV Stick (Lite, HD, 4K or 4K Max) or Fire TV Cube
  • Your Best IPTV Canadian login (sent by email after your order or trial request)
  • A Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection of 15 Mbps or more

Your login email contains a server URL, a username and a password (Xtream Codes format) and an M3U link. Keep it handy. Do not have one yet? Request a free trial login.

Step-by-step: Amazon Fire TV Stick

  1. Allow apps from unknown sources

    Go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options. If Developer Options is hidden, open About and click the device name 7 times. Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources (or Install unknown apps for Downloader once it is installed).

  2. Install Downloader

    From the Home screen, search for "Downloader" and install the free orange app by AFTVnews. Open it and allow it to access files.

  3. Download the IPTV app

    In Downloader, type the short code or URL we sent with your login (for IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate) and press Go. When the APK finishes downloading, choose Install, then Open.

  4. Sign in with your login

    Choose "Login with Xtream Codes API". Enter any name, then the username, password and server URL from your email exactly as written. Press Add User.

  5. Load the guide and start watching

    The app downloads the channel list and TV guide, which takes 30 to 60 seconds the first time. Open Live TV, pick a category such as Canada or Sports, and press play.

  6. Optional: set favourites and parental controls

    Long-press a channel to add it to Favourites. In Settings you can lock adult categories with a PIN and change the stream format to HLS if a channel stutters.

Tips and quick fixes

  • If Downloader will not install the APK, go back to Settings and enable Install unknown apps for Downloader specifically.
  • Fire TV Stick 4K Max handles 4K streams best; the Lite model is fine for HD.
  • Clear the app cache (Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications) if the guide stops updating.
